If you live in Estonia or are an e-resident and have an Estonian personal identification code, you have the opportunity to access the Migrevention Digital Headache Clinic treatment pathway.

Here's how to get started

Step 1 : Asynchronous Consultation with a Headache Nurse

Your journey begins with an asynchronous consultation with a headache nurse. This initial step allows you to share your headache-related symptoms, history, and other health information online at your convenience.

Step 2 : Nurse Triage

After you complete the consultation, the headache nurse will assess your information and perform an initial triage. Based on your responses, the nurse will determine whether you need to see a neurologist for further evaluation.

Step 3 : Referral to a Neurologist (if needed)

If the headache nurse identifies the need for a neurologist's expertise, you'll be referred to a neurologist for a more detailed consultation. The neurologist can provide additional treatment recommendations or diagnostic procedures to ensure you get the care you need.

    If you want to get more information about painkillers and other medications and their interactions.

  • What are my headache triggers?

    If you are interested in which factors and how cause your headaches (including sleep, diet, physical activity).

  • What should I do with my headaches?

    Instructions regarding specific activities to begin or continue your treatment journey.

  • When should I contact my doctor instead?

    If you wish to get prescription medicine for you headaches, or if you are unsure about your diagnosis, then consult with a doctor instead.

Insurance coverage

If your employer offers health insurance in cooperation with an insurance company and you have been diagnosed with a primary headache (e.g. migraine) you can receive compensation for the Migrevention service in the following way:

  • Visit your doctor and receive a primary headache diagnosis first to be eligible for insurance coverage.

  • The weekly nurse counselling period must be within the scope of the health insurance period.

  • After you have activated the counselling service through Migrevention e-mail link, you will receive an invoice that you can send to the insurance company along with the compensation application (note that the invoice is not the receipt received straight after payment).
